We do believe there can be ‘bad’ ideas. However, they allow us the clarity to see what we don’t want, and are therefore welcomed. Again, if we won’t engage with it internally, no one will.We prototype everything… we mean everything!
Resourceful thinkers and entrepreneurs
We come from many different cultures, with two of the co-founders being Zimbabwean. They believe one of the most impactful lessons growing up was having the experience of sanctions. It allowed them to learn to trade, to think resourcefully and also collaboratively. Another co-founder is a sculptor and industrial designer; she believes in the power of design thinking for entrepreneurs. The other co-founder is a former scratch golfer, who believes in the power of focus, practice and logic.We seem to attract others who have similar outlooks.
We couldn’t be more global, and it’s our magic dust. The nuances of each culture provide conversation, character, outlook and above all, knowledge. All are essential for our products.We also wear our So-Immigrant T-shirts with pride.
Gossipers are a**holes. They are also bullies, and they are bullsh*tters. In less crass language, they really are the rotten apples in any barrel. Since our CEO implemented this in previous businesses she has had very little experience of such negative attitudes.We don’t tolerate them, and this is made very clear in all aspects of our daily experiences.

Clare Munn has been disrupting edtech since she was just out of school when her script and animation treatment to entertain and educate children about Africa and the environment was licensed by Paramount/Simon & Schuster Interactive.
In parallel she co-founded Penga Partners with a vision to disrupt communication and training in the workplace. This became Employment Law Training Inc. owned by Littler Mendleson. ELT-Inc.com became the first multidimensional, online site for compliance story based training.
After ELT, Clare became EVP of Global BD & Partnerships. Even though both companies had successes, Clare realized broadband was not quite there to create her vision of streaming mixed media short format engaging episodic videos in the workplace and after founding an award winning boutique agency, The Communication Group, Clare concentrated on creating brand and digital strategies for Fortune 100 clients including Hitachi, Maxtor, Cisco, McKesson, AMD, ebay, Danskin, Eddie Bauer etc. This became the 1st 50 Green Certified agency in SF.
Coined and trademarked CQ: Communication Quotient: Expressive & Receptive Intelligence, and H2H, Human 2 Human. An Executive Producer of The Square – a 3 Emmy, Oscar Nominated film with Netflix, Clare knew it was finally time to realize her vision of 20 years ago and Boxspring Entertainment was founded in 2016.
